L'Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée is a lovely surprise in Paris. I was surprised to learn that Paris even had an aquarium, given that it is by no means a watery city, apart from the Seine (in which very few fish actually swim, I imagine). When we learned that it existed, we decided to take Mlle. Marguerite there for her day off of school with us. We all gawked at the tanks and tanks of fish, fauna and flora (80 in total).
