We love flowers and candles. N'est-ce pas?



Paris has a profusion of shops selling these things. Everywhere lovely flowers await one's arrival. However, there is one shop that has won my heart. It is just down the street and the shop is impeccable. Faubourg Saint Martin | Fleurs et Bougies (at 82 rue du Faubourg St. Martin). Perhaps I find the shop so remarkable because of its positioning. It is on the portion of Faubourg St. Martin which is flooded by children's wholesale clothing shops with marred shop fronts and names like "Petits Mecs" and "Fanny Look" and "Les Mômes." And then, there in the middle of no-where is this haven of flowers and acuity. Ahhh.
