Port Grimaud.
Port Grimaud is just down the coastline from St. Tropez, towards Nice. Just a scooter hop away. It is the unique sort of town where roads are waterways and when a family goes to get their bread and croissants every morning, they jump on the boat to reach the boulangerie. If you go, there are the main thoroughfares into town for visitors - across bridges and then along the waterways with shops/restaurants, etc. However, there are many winding routes that seem off-limits to outsiders. Gates, etc. If you can squeeze past one to continue walking along the water - along boat after boat parked with no space in between it and the next one, the view of Port Grimaud becomes much more charming.
