Famous.

Or just a little. A New York Times article on our house/our hunt!

The coolest part (according to me)? They used my photographs in their slideshow. Originally here on this blog. Xavier's initiative in this story also deserves applause.

But, we are still in Aruba, so I have pressing beach matters to attend to...

WOW, how exciting! Do you miss Paris at all? We own a place in the 11th and I can't imagine living in the States though it sounds like you guys have found your comfort zone relatively easily :) Will we be seeing photos on your blog of the house itself (interior)? Profites bien de la plage!

Those photos are indeed on the blog (from just a bit ago). Here is the link:

I miss Paris - I grew to really love the city, which wasn't evident for me at the outset. We still have our apartment there in the 10th arrondissement and will likely return someday. We do return still because so much of Xavier's family live there, so the city isn't a ghost in our lives...

Your photos of Paris are just lovely.

Oh Emilie the New York Times! And your very own photographs! The whole things's just great. How did I miss this article? I read it every morning. My husband must have bogarted this section of the paper that day. I've always said your photographs were incredible and now the NYT seconds my most learned opinion. :) I don't know you personally but am very proud of you! And wow, does Xavier have visions and them make them come true or what? So proud of him too! It's all very insiring and I wish you both a lot of happiness in your incredible new home.
PS - If only you could roll back time and see those coming and going into Alexander Hamilton's home, how interesting that would be. I wonder who lived in your home before you, long long ago. Violetta
