Papamobile.
The other day we were talking and Xavier mentioned very casually a "Papamobile." This is the term in French for the vehicle in which the Pope gets wheeled around. Maybe it is because I grew up Mormon, but I had no idea there was such a vehicle - a vehicle designed solemnly for the people of the world to view and wave at the Pope. I didn't believe Xavier until I finally googled the term and got these photos (do it, there are many more). Ridiculous. So laughable. There are many models and maybe even a leggo rendering of the thing. (As much as I respect various creeds and beliefs, the Catholic church is one organization that seems rotten from its core right now).

Just watched Al-Jezeera English, and it seems the new pope eschewed the bulletproof cover today for his tour of St. Peter's Square after his installation. The cover came about when a man leapt out of the crowd and shot Pope John Paul II.
I had no idea there was a Lego papamobile! hilarious.
Well maybe Jack Kennedy would have been spared with a Kenmobile...
There are no sisterwifemobiles? ;)
Just looking through an older post or two and came upon this gem. I was well aware of the Papamobile (although we call it the Pope-mobile in Australia - or the display-case-on-wheels), but while I was amused at the Lego version's 'entourage' vehicle, I was shocked to discover that Harry Potter eventually becomes a cardinal! What a waste!!
