So glad it abuts us. The trees. The neo-gothic thing. College campuses have good auras and this one swells even into our part of the sidewalk and street.
Loved going to City College, especially going past the food vendors--the mothers' club selling helado outside the elementary school after 3 p.m., and the older woman selling 6 peeled oranges for $1--on the way to & from the subway stop at the bottom of the hill. It's beautiful in many ways up there! It's not only that the architecture is sublime.

You know, I have lived down the street from this campus for over 10 years now...and I have never been inside! How dumb is that?
